Major Embarrassment At ASEAN As The Indian Flag Is Hoisted Upside Down
A major goof-up ensued on the first day of the ASEAN summit as the organisers managed to hoist the Indian flag upside down. As you can see in the video tweeted by ANI below, the Indian flag hoisted on a stand alongside that of Japan, was in the background as Prime Minister Narendra Modi greeted Japan President Shinzo Abe at the summit.
PM Modi is on a three-day visit to Malaysia for the summit where he is supposed to address the gathering, and meet the Indians settled settled in the country.
Although we are yet to hear from The Ministry Of External Affairs, PIB tried its best to cover it up by slyly photoshopping the image forgetting that there was video evidence too.
